AIK Football’s Manuel Lindberg granted leave of absence due to extreme workload

Since November 2022, Manuel Lindberg has had dual roles within AIK Football’s organization and, in addition to his regular role, has also acted as acting sports manager, which has resulted in an extreme workload for a longer period.

– The recruitment of a new sports manager for AIK Football has taken longer than planned. The ongoing recruitment process, combined with an eventful transfer window, has meant that the workload for Manuel has been extreme for an extended period. For us, it is important that our managing director is given the right conditions to be able to fulfill his regular duties for AIK Football. We therefore see it as natural, now that the transfer window has closed, to grant Manuel a leave of absence for a period so that he can then return to the assignment he has been given by AIK Football’s board. The leave can be extended if the situation requires it, says AIK Fotboll AB’s board chairman Robert Falck.

Fredrik Söderberg, who acted as acting CEO during the beginning of 2022, has been appointed as an external signatory with powers and responsibilities corresponding to those of the managing director during the period that Manuel Lindberg is on leave.
