– One of the greatest AIK legends, perhaps even the greatest, has left us. Our thoughts are primarily with Kurt’s family and close friends. It is a moment of sadness, but also an opportunity for those who experienced Kurt to remember, and for the rest of us to retell his time as one of the world’s best. Kurt Hamrin was born on 19 November 1934 and played a total of 63 competitive matches for AIK and scored 54 goals. He won the Allsvenskan shooting league in 1954/1955 when he accounted for 22 goals in 22 games.
