AIK Football announced earlier during the month of April that the club’s CEO and club director Manuel Lindberg applied for and was granted leave until April 20 (read the news here). At his own request, Manuel has chosen to extend the leave until May 1, 2023.
Since November 2022, Manuel has had dual roles within AIK Football’s organization and, in addition to his regular role, has also acted as acting sports director, which has entailed an extreme workload for a longer period.
Fredrik Söderberg, who acted as acting CEO during the beginning of 2022, has been appointed as an external underwriter with powers and responsibilities corresponding to those of the managing director during the period that Manuel Lindberg is on leave.
