The association for the fight against AIDS organized an AIDS screening campaign in Casablanca on Saturday and launched actions to inform about this disease and underline the importance of treatment at an early stage in order to be able to cure.
This was stated in a statement to M24, the MAP continuous information television channel, by the president of the Association for the fight against AIDS (Casablanca section), Noura Mahad. that this action was carried out on the occasion of World AIDS Day, emphasizing that it is particularly aimed at young people and people at risk.
The association has also allowed these categories to benefit from a rapid and free test to allow virus carriers to start appropriate treatment early.
He also stressed that the treatment is free, which allows Moroccans and even residents to benefit from it.
For his part, the director of the association (Casablanca section), Youssef Mazi highlighted the decline in the number of screening tests in the last two years due to the pandemic, emphasizing that AIDS still exists and is mainly among young people.
Oussama Sahili, a volunteer for the association, for his part, underlined the importance of raising awareness, recalling that AIDS is transmitted through blood and unprotected sexual intercourse or from mother to child.
