Yambu: Saudi Arabia’s project to distribute winter clothes to Syrian and Palestinian refugee families in Jordan has started. The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KS Relief) set up by Saudi Arabia to help those affected in different parts of the world yesterday inaugurated the project called “Kanaf Project 2022” in Jordan.
The project is being implemented in collaboration with the Jordanian Hashemite Charitable Organization (JHCO) to provide special vouchers to deserving people to purchase winter clothing. Official sources revealed that around 666 vouchers have already been distributed to the benefit of 109 Syrian refugee families. The plan provides for the distribution of a total of 23,529 Jordanian KS and vouchers. This was informed by the director of the rescue office Saud bin Abdul Aziz Al Hasim.

The relief agency has already distributed 290 tons of food baskets in Somali regions of Adol and Sahel as part of the country’s food security program. KS Relief also aims to distribute more than 2,800 tons of food baskets to benefit 2.55,000 needy and drought-stricken displaced people in Somalia, officials said.
