Computer-controlled enemies basically only have two types of difficulty. While some won’t even find you if you walk right behind them, others will spot you 200 yards away if you sneak up on a crouch. Balancing AI is therefore sometimes very difficult. At the moment, this is a task that is giving Warzone 2.0 developers a lot of trouble.

Fans of the Call of Duty FPS series really like the new game mode called DMZ. The ruthless fight returns, pitting a group of players on one side and almost endless hordes of computer-controlled opponents on the other. The idea itself is quite good, the player needs some of that tactical wit to win. Recently, however, cases have begun to multiply showing that computer opponents are invincible.
On Twitter, most users started commenting that the AI is better than 80% of all players. It’s an artificial intelligence that sees behind walls and knows exactly where you are. Twitter and Reddit have been flooded with dozens of clips of players losing to an invincible AI. One of the clips shows a player who just crawled out of cover and immediately got a missile in the face and died.

For all players, DMZ mode now presents a huge challenge that is almost impossible to complete. Think an overly realistic experience is okay?
