At the second annual conference of the future centers in Berlin, Susanne Hohensee, Norman Balke and Pierre Ozimek, employees of the Halle Chamber of Crafts in the Saxony-Anhalt Future Center for Digital Work project, together with Bettina Kretschmer, managing director of CONTALL, presented their experiences in implementing artificial intelligence in small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

The presentation in Berlin was more than an experience report: It was a lighthouse project that shows how AI can be used concretely and practically in medium-sized businesses. The solutions presented offer other companies valuable guidance for their own digital transformation.

The AI implementations presented show a wide range of possible applications:

Trainee and employee recruitment

AI specifically supports the recruitment of trainees and employees by targeting specific target groups. Intelligent algorithms can be used to place advertisements more precisely in order to attract suitable candidates for the advertised positions.

Cross-generational communication

A particularly innovative approach was developed for communication between trainees and managers. AI tools help bridge generational differences and enable more effective dialogue.

Social media content creation

Using tools like Canva Pro and Cap Cut, high-quality social media content is produced using AI. This enables more efficient and creative corporate communication and saves time and money.

Product marketing

AI is used specifically in product marketing to address target groups more precisely and optimize marketing strategies.

International team communication

A particularly notable application is the AI chatbot as a live translator, which breaks down communication barriers in international teams and makes collaboration easier.

Creative processes

An AI avatar is also used during brainstorming to generate new impulses and ideas.

These diverse implementations underline the enormous potential of AI for small and medium-sized companies. The employees of the Halle Chamber of Crafts and Bettina Kretschmer show together how AI can not only optimize processes, but also change corporate culture and communication.
