Indonesian couple Mohammad Ahsan/Hendra Setiawan still drove on All England 2023. The Daddies have just qualified for the quarterfinals.
Ahsan / Hendra played at the Utilita Arena, Birmingham, Friday (17/3/2023) early morning WIB, facing French representatives Lucas Corvee / Ronan Labar in the round of 16.
Ahsan/Hendra as the third seeds had no trouble winning 21-14 and 21-13 in just 30 minutes.
In the first game, Ahsan/Hendra faced fierce resistance when the score was tied at 4-4. Corvee/Labar were still close to scoring when Ahsan/Hendra only won 8-7.
However, after that Ahsan/Hendra easily collected three consecutive numbers to lead 11-7 in the first game interval. After that, the closest distance between Ahsan / Hendra and their opponent was 14-1.
Ahsan/Hendra stepped on the gas to win four consecutive points to lead 18-11, before closing the first game with a 21-14 lead.
Entering the second game, a tight battle occurred early when the score was 5-5. Ahsan/Hendra tried to stay away but always failed because Corvee/Labar were able to get closer to 6-8.
The first game interval belonged to Ahsan/Hendra after winning 11-7. Corvee/Labar’s score stopped at nine while Ahsan/Hendra advanced to a 16-9 lead.
When the game point position was 20-10, Ahsan/Hendra lost control so that the opponent’s points increased by three, before closing with a 21-13 victory.
