Ahoy remains painfully empty, but Bløf performs anyway: ‘If only you were here’ | Zeeland news

ROTTERDAM – Everything was ready for the first edition of Hier, the indoor sister of Concert at Sea. The latest corona measures put an end to the festival in Rotterdam Ahoy at the last minute, where, in addition to host Bløf, Racoon, Ronnie Flex, Suzan & Freek and Maan, among others, would perform.

A huge downer for the organization. The Bløf men did not make themselves known and performed on Saturday evening in the enormous hall, which – apart from the employees of the festival and family and friends of the band – remained painfully empty. As a consolation, the performance was streamed live through all kinds of channels and garnered favorable reactions. especially the number Wish you Were Here suddenly got a double charge.

“It’s really cool that we can’t celebrate our party”, said singer/guitarist Paskal Jakobsen. ,,But I think it’s very special that we can perform for the few people here and for all the people at home, who are sitting in front of the television or the laptop. It’s strangely enough as if you’re playing in front of a lot of people tonight.”

The tickets that were sold for the festival remain valid for the next edition of Hier, which is scheduled for Saturday 19 November 2022. Buyers also have the option to request a refund.
