KOMPAS.com – Activist 98 Rahmat Hidayat Pulungan commented on the resignation of Basuki Tjahja Purnama or Ahok from President Commissioner of PT Pertamina (Persero) because he supported presidential and vice presidential candidate number 3 Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud MD.
Rahmat considered Ahok’s decision to be unethical.
“Ahok is unethical, not trustworthy. Yes, if he is not suitable and in line with the government, he should immediately resign from the start of the announcement of the presidential and vice-presidential candidates. The resignation period is already 4 months into the campaign process. He will resign at the end of the next month after payday,” said Rahmat to Kompas .com via WhatsApp, Friday (3/2/2024).

According to him, Ahok’s decision to resign from the position of President Commissioner of PT Pertamina was a form of inconsistent attitude.
On the one hand, Ahok and PDI-P talked about ethics aimed at candidate pair number 2, Prabowo Subianto-Gibran. However, said Rahmat, he himself was also unethical when he resigned as President Commissioner of PT Pertamina.
“People’s criticism has no ethics, it’s just the same,” said this young Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) activist.
He also said that Ahok should complete his term of office until the end, there is no need to resign before the 2024 election voting on February 14. This attitude actually gave rise to the perception that Ahok only thought about himself.
“If we are given trust, we will just complete it until it’s finished. If that’s the case, it will give the impression that he just wants to win on his own, only thinking about himself,” explained Rahmat, who is also an independent commissioner of PT Bukit Asam.
It is known that Basuki Tjahaja Purnama or Ahok resigned from his position as President Commissioner of PT Pertamina, a State-Owned Enterprise (BUMN). He conveyed this via social media X @basuki_btp.
The reason Ahok resigned from Komut Pertamina was because he supported the presidential candidate and vice presidential candidate number 3, Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud MD.
“This upload is proof of receipt of my resignation letter as main commissioner of PT Pertamina (Persero) which I submitted today, February 2 2024,” wrote Ahok.

In the upload, Ahok also said that he would support and also campaign for presidential candidates Ganjar Pranowo and Mahfud MD. He emphasized this so that there would be no confusion in society regarding his political direction.
