President Commissioner of PT Pertamina (Persero) Basuki Tjahaja Purnama or Ahok opened his voice regarding the reasons for the abolition of Premium fuel types. This is done so that Pertamina does not sell fuel that is harmful to health.
As far as Ahok knows, Premium will be phased out next year. Then, Premium subsidies will be transferred to Pertalite.
“If you read the 2022 RKAP, yes (deleted). The subsidy has been shifted to Pertalite so as not to sell health hazards and from the production side of modern refineries, there are no premium projections,” he said.
Ahok cannot confirm the price of Pertalite if it is subsidized by the government. According to Ahok, it depends on the subsidies provided.
“The number of subsidies depends on the government and of course there is a basis for the calculation,” he said.
Ahok ensured that Pertalite would still exist next year. Meanwhile, Premium will be removed.
“Yes, next year it will be removed and the subsidy will shift to Pertalite. Pertalite will still be there next year,” he said.
