Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Erick Thohir trimmed dozens of Ministerial Regulations (Permen) from 45 regulations to only 3 regulations. Main Commissioner of PT Pertamina (Persero) Basuki Tjahaja Purnama or Ahok responded to BUMN Minister Erick Thohir’s move to make the BUMN Omnibus Law a positive breakthrough.

According to him, one of the contents of the BUMN omnibus stipulates that directors of state-owned companies who concurrently serve as commissioners in subsidiaries may not receive double income. The board of directors who concurrently serve as commissioners in other state-owned companies is part of an additional job.

“So basically this is a very good breakthrough and Pertamina is probably the first BUMN to do it,” he said at Grha Pertamina, Central Jakarta, Monday (27/3/2023).

Ahok revealed that Pertamina is likely the first BUMN to implement this. He emphasized that Pertamina had not implemented dual revenues since 2020.

“When the director is also a commissioner, he is not allowed to accept anything. It’s just an additional part of the work. Pertamina has been doing that since 2020,” he said.

On the same occasion, Deputy for Human Resources, Technology and Information of the Ministry of BUMN Tedi Bharata said that later directors who hold concurrent positions as commissioners in subsidiaries will only receive remuneration from BUMN.

“But the remuneration is only for the directors above,” he added.

However, in the future, this remuneration will be adjusted according to private sector directors in the same sector. “In the future, what we are going to do is adjust it as directors in the same sector in the private sector. We cannot afford to lose,” he concluded.
