Ahn Se-young, ‘discord’ with coaches?… “I heard you didn’t even say hello?”

Ahn Se-young, runner-up at the Denmark Open, is embroiled in rumors of discord with the national team’s coaching staff.

The conflict is growing again as even the head of the Badminton Association admits the truth.

A photo of the soles of Ahn Se-young’s feet was revealed during a pending inquiry last month.

The Badminton Association said that she did not have to wear sponsor shoes for a limited time, but Ahn Se-young said she could not receive preferential treatment, so she wore sponsor sneakers and finished second in her first international competition since the Paris Olympics.

However, controversy arose again when Ahn Se-young was spotted looking uncomfortable next to the coaching staff.

Unlike the opposing players who talked with the coaches during strategy time, Ahn Se-young was virtually alone in the quarterfinals and the finals.

Ahn Se-young, who appeared separately from the coaches at the arrival hall, did not say anything.

“I don’t have anything to say.”

Director Kim Hak-gyun actually acknowledged the discord rumors.

“I think we still need some time. We have a lot of things to do with each other, so please wait.”

During the National Assembly audit, the issue of conflict between Ahn Se-young and the Badminton Association arose again.

“Then I guess I’m the only one who feels that way. I got a call saying that I didn’t say hello to my seniors or coaches even when I went to Denmark this time.”

The uneasy relationship is expected to continue for the time being as the association has decided to temporarily extend the contracts of Ahn Se-young and difficult coach Kim Hak-gyun until the end of the year due to injury management issues.
