Dresden – At the age of seven, Ahmet Arslan (29) moved with his parents from Ottobeuren in the Allgäu to Lübeck. This is his home. With his goals, he shot VfB into the regional league in 2014 and into the 3rd league in 2020. On Saturday he will face his hometown club.

Colleagues explained before the first leg in September, which Dynamo Dresden happily won 1-0, that the name Arslan is no longer very popular in Lübeck: In 2020, after promotion to the third division, he moved to arch rivals Kiel.
That is significantly worse than if you went from Dresden to Aue or the other way around. Nonsense actually, but the people up there haven’t really forgiven him.
“This is my home, my former club,” says Arslan himself. “But I don’t have time to waste thoughts on it. My family will come. That’s the only thing I’ll associate with Lübeck in the game, to take my parents in and give them a victory,” said the 29-year-old.
Dynamo Dresden To unsightly insults: That’s why ex-dynamo “Paco” Testroet had to get out early!
“Sorry to say it like that, but I definitely want to win against Lübeck,” “Ahmo” has one goal in mind. They won’t like to hear that at VfB either.
Because a defeat would bring relegation a little closer – again because of Arslan.
