ABU DHABI, 2nd October, 2018 (WAM) – Ahmed Mohammed Al-Badawi, a player for the People of Determination Cycling Team, topped the Asian classification for September with 62 points, which he earned from his participation in the World Championships in Scotland, the World Cup in Italy, and the Asian Championships in Thailand.
Al-Badwawi recently underwent a living program in South Korea in preparation for participating in the Asian Paralympics, scheduled in China from October 22 to 28.
Al-Badwawi stressed that the period of living together had a tangible impact in enhancing his experience and developing his skills, through comprehensive training programs, the presence of bicycle experts, including coaches and technicians, and interaction with the best players.
He added: “I am proud of this experience, which represents an important addition, and will also benefit my teammates in the national team by informing them of my experience during this period.”
The team’s delegation will head to China on October 16, to participate in the Asian Paralympics.
