National Team Coach Anies Baswedan and Muhaimin Iskandar (AMIN) who is also the Vice President of NasDem, Ahmad Ali, conveyed an apology to the co-Captain of the National Team AMIN Sudirman Said if there were any offensive words. Ahmad Ali asked not to engage in polemics in the media.
“I apologize to Sudirman Said if any of my words offended you, please don’t create polemics in the media because it is detrimental to AMIN,” said Ahmad Ali to journalists, Sunday (31/12/2023).
Ahmad Ali said he didn’t have any problems. He focused on organizing Anies and Cak Imin’s winning strategy.
“I don’t feel there is any problem, I set a winning strategy for the Anies Team which I see is going according to what we planned. So I don’t see any divisions in the AMIN Team, yes, this AMIN Team has no blocks, nothing “Block A, block B doesn’t exist, there is a coalition supporting Anies and volunteers,” he said.
Ahmad Ali also responded to Sudirman Said’s assessment, who called him provocative. Ahmad Ali emphasized that he was not perfect.
“So I don’t see where the blocks are, where the divisions are. Regarding the accusations from the Honorable Mr. Sudirman Said against me, it’s normal in my opinion, let alone Ahmad Ali, the Prophet alone, the Messenger of Allah who was assigned by Allah to bring the truth “on the face of the earth, there is slander left and right by infidels, especially Ahmad Ali, who is not a good person,” he said.
Furthermore, Ahmad Ali asked that internal problems be resolved internally. He didn’t want to make a fuss outside.
“But of course, as the Head Coach of this Team, let’s get used to internal dialectics, don’t get into arguments… if you feel that something needs to be debated, discuss it, don’t debate outside, AMIN’s winning office is on Jalan Diponegoro, whenever needed we are there to discuss,” he said.
“I think as stated by the AMIN Team Captain, that Sudirman Said’s statement is his personal statement, so there is no need to exaggerate it, there is no need to respond to it and I don’t have any rights, and I don’t have the right to demand that he give a positive assessment of me. ,” he added.
He added that currently he is focusing on consolidation. Ahmad Ali He also admitted that he had not communicated with Sudirman Said for a long time.
“I’m still busy with consolidation, because I haven’t communicated with him for quite a long time. Actually, there’s nothing to discuss, in my opinion there isn’t, because what’s being reported is just his personal assessment, maybe his standards are too high, personally I don’t can meet such high standards,” he said.
Ahmad Ali reiterated that the situation within the AMIM National Team was harmonious. He also thanked Sudirman Said for his input.
“It’s fine, there’s nothing… we just get along well, just laugh every day at the command post, discuss, eat together, drink coffee together, there’s nothing. There’s nothing to discuss, there’s nothing to bring up, “Because it concerns me personally, I would be grateful if he spoke like that so that I could improve myself,” he said.
Previously, AMIN National Team Spokesperson, Muhammad Ramli Rahim, agreed with the statement of AMIN National Team Co-Captain, Sudirman Said, regarding building communication with all parties. Ramli said that no opponent is truly an enemy.
“From the start, Mr. Anies had a commitment that in contesting the 2024 presidential election, no opponent would become an enemy,” said Ramli, in his written statement, reported on Sunday (31/12).
He reminded all the winning teams, both the AMIN National Team and the supporting parties, to remain focused on what they were fighting for in the 2024 presidential election. He said there was no need to close communication with other parties.
