Ahead of World AIDS Day which is celebrated every December 1, the KPAD (Regional AIDS Commission) Kab. Madiun in collaboration with the Social Service held a Monitoring and Evaluation Meeting (Monev) for the HIV/AIDS Control Program in Kab. Madison.

Monev on Tuesday (23/11) was officially opened by the Deputy Regent of Madiun H. Hari Wuryanto who is also the Head of KPAD Kab. Madiun at the same time handed over 70 food packages for at-risk groups (PLWHA and WPS) witnessed by the Kadinkes Kab. Madiun, Nur Rosyid Anang Kusuma, Secretary of KPAD Kab. Madiun and representatives of the Sumbersari Health Center.

On this occasion, the Deputy Regent admitted that he was grateful because the relevant cross-institutions could work together to tackle the spread of this deadly disease. The reason, according to him, the problem of HIV / AIDS needs attention because not all people understand the dangers of this deadly disease.

“Socialization and education about the dangers of HIV/AIDS are very important. Because if it is left to myself (the Deputy Regent) and the relevant agencies, of course we can’t, but we are all invited to work together to fight this disease, “said the Deputy Regent while hoping that this assistance can help PLWHA (people with HIV/AIDS), asking PLWHA keep the spirit and must believe that all diseases will find a cure.

As the Chair of the KPAD, the Deputy Regent really hopes that through socialization it can really suppress the spread of this deadly disease because if it is not handled it will threaten the development of the next generation. For this reason, the Vice Regent asked at-risk groups to be open and obey the prohibitions, such as not sharing needles, being loyal to their partners and being obedient to taking their medicine.

Vice Regent. claimed to be concerned because in 15 sub-districts in Kab. Madiun even 5 of them the number of people with HIV / AIDS is rather high. “For this reason, once again I invite all parties to be more careful,” reminded the Vice Regent. [dar]
