Fajar Alfian/Muhammad Rian Ardianto will face He Jiting/Zhou Haodong in the semifinals All England 2023. Here are some interesting facts ahead of the match.

Fajar/Rian made it to the semifinals after defeating Bagas Maulana/Muhammad Shohibul Fikri with a score of 21-18, 21-13. Meanwhile, He/Zhou could advance to the last four by getting rid of the fourth seed, Takuro Hoki/Yugo Kobayashi, 17-21, 21-18, 21-15.

The two doubles will clash over a ticket to the 2023 All England final on Saturday (18/3). Here are some interesting facts ahead of the duel:

1. Fajar/Rian won 2-1 in their record against He/Zhou. In the final duel at the 2022 Indonesia Masters, Fajar/Rian won 21-17, 21-17.

2. The first meeting between Fajar/Rian and He/Zhou was a historic meeting for Indonesian badminton. The reason is that the duel took place in the 2020 Thomas Cup final which will take place in 2021. Fajar/Rian won 21-12, 21-19 and contributed to the 3-0 victory won by Indonesia over China.

3. Fajar/Rian only played a rubber game once on their way to the All England semifinals. This happened in the duel against Kang Min Hyuk/Seo Seung Jae when they won 20-22, 21-12, 21-19.

4. He Jiting/Zhou Haodong are unseeded in the All England this time. On the way to the semifinals, He/Zhou defeated two seeds, namely Kim Astrup/Anders Skaarup Rasmussen who were the seventh seeds and Hoki/Kobayashi who were the fourth seeds.

5. Last year, Fajar/Rian stopped in the first round of the All England. Meanwhile, He Jiting and Zhou Haodong played with different partners.
