KOMPAS.com – Towards this Eid 2021, mobile operator Tri Indonesia optimize the capacity and quality of its cellular network. This network optimization is carried out at 214 Points of Interest (POI) throughout Indonesia.
All of these points are divided into a number of regions, namely 71 points in Kalimantan and Sumatra, 8 points in Sulawesi, and 135 points in Java and Bali.
Deputy President Director and Chief Sales Officer 3 Indonesia M. Danny Buldansyah, said that the network optimization was carried out to provide customer comfort during Ramadan and Eid.
“We continue to monitor the traffic that occurs through the Network Operation Center, which works 24/7 for 365,” said Danny through an official statement, Wednesday (12/5/2021).

Thus, according to Danny, Tri can anticipate traffic spikes of up to 35 percent from normal days. Tri Indonesia also prepares power backups in each BTS unit to anticipate emergencies.
Last year, Tri Indonesia noted an increase in data traffic during the Lebaran moment. This is because customers consume more digital content during this period. Customers often use mobile messaging applications to communicate with relatives and family.
Until the third week of Ramadan this year, Tri Indonesia noted an increase in data traffic for access to social media and online marketplaces.

Tri found an increase in data traffic to YouTube by 22 percent, Shopee by 21 percent, TikTok by 20 percent, and Mobile Legends by 20 percent.
It is predicted that the increase in traffic will continue to increase until Eid, with the highest increase in the cities of Bekasi, Tangerang and Bogor.
