Ahead of Bahrain, Indonesia is in good shape

Indonesia national team in good condition ahead of the duel with Bahrain National Team. The Garuda team is looking for their first win 2026 World Cup Qualifier Round 3.

A total of 26 players who have been called up have undergone training in Bahrain. One player who hasn’t entered yet, Maarten Paes. The Dallas FC player is on a long trip to Bahrain.

Paes’ position was questioned. The 26-year-old goalkeeper suffered a minor wrist injury. Therefore, the medical team of the Indonesian National Team will check after Paes arrives in Bahrain.

The Indonesian National Team has held two training sessions in Bahrain. The manager of the Red-White team, Sumardji, confirmed that all the players were in good condition.

“Thank God, the overall condition of the team is very good. This is also the second training but it is almost finished because 26 players have come in, but yesterday only 15 players were present. we see the players working energetically and happily,” said Sumardji in the video obtained by detikSport.

“And thank God, no one was hurt, everyone is in good condition and the support from the general chairman of PSSI, Mr. Erick Thohir, to all of us is amazing. We hope the team can perform on the 10th against Bahrain. all out and bring home points,” he said.

Indonesia received additional players Mees Hilgers and Eliano Reijnders against Bahrain at the Bahrain National Stadium, Thursday (10/10/2024). The game starts at 23.00 WIB.

In the previous game, Indonesia pulled out against Australia and Saudi Arabia. With two points, Indonesia remains fourth in the 2026 World Cup Qualifying standings, third round Group C.

Meanwhile, Bahrain is third with three points. Bahrain beat Australia and then Japan beat them by five unanswered goals.
