BARCELONA – Atlético Madrid coach, Diego Simeone, sympathizing with the Barcelona tactician, Ronald Koeman, which was threatened with dismissal. This sympathy was conveyed by Simeone ahead of the big match between his team and Barcelona in the 2021-2022 Spanish League continued.
The Argentine coach did not know in detail about the development of rumors that Koeman would be removed from the Barcelona coach’s chair. However, Simeone wishes the best for his fellow coach.
“I didn’t read the rumours. Koeman has shown a lot of character and I wish him all the best. I know he must be in an uncomfortable situation,” said Simeone, quoted from Mark, Saturday (2/10/2021).
“We are all worried about our own situation. We all coaches respect Koeman and I will always do that.”

Meanwhile, ahead of the meeting between the two teams, Simeone also stated that he believed Barcelona would impress in this prestigious match. Even though Barcelona’s performance has been declining lately, he will still be wary of Barcelona’s game.
“We always think about the ability of the players. Barcelona have a great squad and staff. It’s going to be a great game and we’re really focused,” said Simeone.
Furthermore, Simeone commented on the return of Antoine Griezmann from Barcelona as a loan player. He also discussed the best position of the player on the field which is considered very effective in helping Atletico’s attack line.
“We always put him on the right or the left. The players have a privilege the most important thing is that they are ready to play where the team needs them. He is a player who has the ability to help the team wherever we play.”
Now, the collaboration between Atletico’s three main strikers, namely Luis Suarez, Joao Felix, and Griezmann makes the Atletico coach really happy. According to him, the cooperation creates enthusiasm and respect for each other.
“I’m happy. They work well together. It creates enthusiasm and the most important thing is to make sure all the players feel appreciated. How well they do when they are given the opportunity makes the difference and hopefully we can get started,” he said.
For your information, the Atletico vs Barcelona match will take place at the Wanda Metropolitano Stadium, Sunday 3 October 2021, early in the morning WIB. Both teams will aim for a win to improve their respective positions in the standings.
