CD Águila achieved the second victory of the tournament in last season’s reissued final, beating Jocoro 3-0 at the Juan Francisco Barraza, with a double from Santos Ortíz. FAS gave the current leader, Limeño, the second defeat at home, and Alianza could not break the streak of draws and shared points with Platense.
Águila and Jocoro reissued the final series of the Apertura 2023 tournament, with the same result of 3-0, but this time at the Juan Francisco Barraza stadium, and with the double from Santos Ortíz (22′, 75′) and the same by Ronaldinho Caicedo (70′).
Once Deportivo took the three points in the series against Santa Tecla, at the Simeón Magaña, the fourth victory for the border tank that currently occupies second position in the table.
Dragón handed Fuerte San Francisco a defeat away from home, beating the team 0-1 at the Correcaminos stadium, thanks to Jordy Bonilla’s premature goal at 4′. The purslane team finished in third place in the table.
Alianza played its third game at Cuscatlán, but like the last matchday, it drew a draw at Coloso, but this time 1-1 against Platense. Amilcar Palacios opened the scoring for the roosters at 42′, and Juan Carlos Portillo scored a goal at 73′, a result that lasted until the end of the second half, both teams sharing points.
Isidro Metapán asserted his quality at the Jorge “Calero” Suárez stadium and did not make it easy for Firpo, who tried but left Santa Ana without the three points. The defeat of the Caleros was thanks to Isaac Esquivel’s double (24′, 51′).
After the tie of the previous date, FAS came to life and added the third victory of the first round of the tournament, in Quiteño, against the leader of the Apertura Limeño, and with goals from Rudy Clavel (15′) and Jonathan Nolasco (76′ ). Daniel Delgadillo scored for the visitors at 90+3′.
