Zlatan Ibrahimovic leave related negative comments Argentina national team at the 2022 World Cup. Sergio Aguero did not remain silent and counterattacked the AC Milan striker.
Argentina won the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. During the celebration process, goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez was bombarded with criticism for making fun of French star Kylian Mbappe.
Ibrahimovic then appeared with negative comments regarding the Argentina national team. The man from Sweden believes that the bad behavior of the Albiceleste players cannot be justified, although there is also praise given to Lionel Messi.
Aguero, who was at the Argentina celebrations, was not pleased with Ibrahimovic’s comments. The former Manchester City player brought up bad things that Ibrahimovic had also done.
“I remember when I was at Man City and we played Manchester United. You (Ibra) made a hard tackle and complained to the referee,” Aguero said on Twitch, as quoted by Football Italia.
Ibra spent two seasons at Manchester United, scoring 29 goals in 180 games between 2016 and 2018, before joining LA Galaxy. He returned for a second spell at Milan in January 2020.
“He also had bad behavior on the pitch. I remember a few dives and once he hit someone with La Galaxy and then pretended he had been hurt. Is that good behavior?” asked Aguero.
“For me, it’s very impolite to say we’re not going to win again. I think before worrying about Argentina, he can worry about his country first, about his players, who didn’t even play in the last World Cup.”
Ibrahimovic is currently out with a knee injury, but Milan are hoping he will return in February for the Champions League game against Antonio Conte’s Tottenham at the San Siro.
He underwent knee surgery in May after Milan won the title and has not featured for the reigning Serie A champions this season. His contract at the San Siro will expire next June.
