This is within the framework of the Business Support Facility for Resilient Agricultural Value Chains project.
Alamine Ousmane Mey, Minister of the Economy, Planning and Regional Development (Minepat), coordinator of the partnership with the European Union (EU), has just published a call for proposals whose objective is to develop and improve the capacities of actors in the agricultural value chains of cocoa, corn and livestock (cattle, sheep and goats) as part of the project “ Business Support Facility for Resilient Agricultural Value Chains ».
The government member invites interested stakeholders to apply by submitting their concept notes online no later than November 10, 2023. Indeed, the project “ Business Support Facility for Resilient Agricultural Value Chains » was implemented by the German cooperation GIZ. The said project is jointly funded by the EU within the framework of the Post-Cotonou Agreement, with the secretariat of the Organization of African, Caribbean and Pacific States (Oeacp) and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).
The said project has already established the Competitive Matching Fund whose objective is to strengthen the capacities and skills of actors in the value chains of producers, processors, buyers, micro, small and medium enterprises.
The Minepat press release specifies that the objective is to attract financing and investments, particularly focused on the resilience of the value chains of the products concerned: cocoa, corn and livestock (cattle, sheep and goats), in all 79 Oeacp member countries.
In its sovereign missions, the Oeacp encourages entrepreneurship, cultural innovation and youth participation. Its objective is also to create decent jobs and increase the income of artists and cultural professionals and promote the quality of productions and their distribution on national and international markets.
