For the second time, the producers of Richemontnear’Aumale (Seine Maritime), won the gold medal in the Neufchâtel AOP Farmer category. The first was awarded to them during the last edition of the Agricultural centre in 2020.
“We are very proud to have this medal,” explains Hubert Genty, back from the show. And to add.
It goes beyond the first, because we managed to obtain regularity in the product.
Three other producers competed this year in the Neufchâtel AOP Farmer category. “We would like there to be more competitors”, also regrets the farmer from Richemont.
“The jury chooses the color of the medal”. And it is rare that the neufchâtel receives gold, the Richemont couple thus achieves the feat of obtaining it two years in a row. What to be happy and especially proud of the work accomplished.
Even if the GAEC Genty farm was unable to take full advantage of the commercial fallout from the first medal because of the Covid, their customers are still selling their products more, explains Hubert.
He now hopes to expand their market beyond Rouen, canvassing in cities like Paris, and possibly others.
