From next Friday, the catering industry, clubs and discotheques can remain open until 1 am. The corona ticket will continue to apply, but the one and a half meter rule, the fixed seat and the mouth cap obligation will be cancelled.
Opening hours and measures for the cultural sector, such as cinemas, theaters and museums are also relaxed in this way. There is a maximum of 500 people per location.
working from home
The advice to work from home does not expire completely. People are advised to work from home. Those who still have to go to work are advised to continue to work at home half of the time, if possible.
Traveling abroad is also no longer discouraged, so it is also expected that the travel advice of various countries will be adjusted to a lower level. The corona situation in a country no longer automatically means that the color code ‘orange’ is used. The travel advice for countries within the European Union had already been released.

Corona admission ticket
From 25 February, the cabinet will take the next step in the relaxation. Then the closing time of 01:00 will expire and the one and a half meter rule will also be deleted. The corona admission ticket in its current form is no longer used, with the 3G rule.
The corona admission ticket will not disappear completely either. The vaccination certificate and the app are still necessary to travel, to digitally show a test or vaccination certificate abroad.
A test certificate is also requested for large events, festivals and locations with more than 500 visitors. The 1G rule will apply there: everyone must be tested. A corona pass is therefore still required in those places.
face masks
Because the one and a half meter rule is being released, the mouth cap obligation will also disappear. Where it is not possible to keep one and a half meters away, mouth caps are mandatory. If the distancing rule is released, the obligation to wear a mask will also go away.
Only in public transport, at airports and in airplanes is it still requested to wear a face mask.
The advice also continues to apply as a precaution to wear a face mask in busy places, suggested Health Minister Kuipers after the consultation. Basic measures, such as testing and staying home in case of complaints, will also continue to apply for the time being.
Press conference
The press conference will be given this evening at 7 p.m. by Minister Kuipers of Public Health. Prime Minister Rutte is absent, because he has a debate in the Senate. It is expected in The Hague that this will be the last corona press conference tonight.
