Dutch left-back Tyrell Malacia could become a United player shortly. According to Fabrizio Romano, the clubs have agreed on a transfer fee of 15 million euros + 2 million euros in potential additional clauses.
– We agree with Manchester United. Now it’s up to Malacia. We are waiting for him to make a decision. If he says yes to United, the transfer is imminent, Feyenoord director Frank Arnesen tells the Dutch website 1908.nl, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The 22-year-old plays daily for Feyenoord in the Honorary Division. Throughout the summer, he has been strongly linked to Lyon, who have reportedly also received a bid of 15 million pounds accepted. But now United should have come into the picture in the twelfth hour in an attempt to take the inside turn at the French big club.
United.no knows that the club was in contact with Malaysia’s representatives as late as May and that the club has followed the back situation closely since.
The choice is now apparently between Lyon and United. But West Ham are also said to have tried to secure Malaysia’s signature.
Malacia started 32 league games and scored four goals and one goal this season. He also has five A-level internationals for the Netherlands.
