The Rhône BTP Federation mobilized for its members and intervened to allow them to have a warm lunch.
Due to the Covid-19 crisis, restaurants remain closed. However, this is a problem for all construction and public works employees, who often have to eat cold. “As the restaurants are closed, lunch breaks on construction sites are very uncomfortable. The closure of restaurants is making this situation a little more delicate for outdoor trades ”, indicates the Rhône construction federation.
The latter thus lent a helping hand to construction workers and craftsmen “to facilitate better quality working conditions and a more satisfactory environment”, indicates the federation.
The federation has thus intervened with the State and the UMIH (Union des Métiers et des Industries de l’Hôtellerie) to help improve the conditions in which companions spend their lunch break time. Thanks to this action, an agreement allows for a temporary collective catering agreement between construction companies and restaurateurs. The objective is to allow the reception of employees and craftsmen in the construction industry in restaurants and therefore offer the possibility of taking hot meals in satisfactory conditions.
“Two solutions have been put in place to meet the expectations of the members of the Federation: the solicitation of communities to occupy the communal rooms and the signing of an agreement with restaurateurs willing to open their restaurants, for a number of covers precise and ordered in advance, ”explains BTP Rhône.
Strict sanitary conditions
Restaurant owners who have signed this agreement are authorized to open while retaining the benefit of special COVID-19 government assistance. Restaurant owners are obviously committed to ensuring that strict sanitary conditions are respected. They must take care to avoid any mixing of groups and companies by separating them, and to enforce the protocols of collective catering as well as barrier gestures. The people welcomed have a seat, and the same table can only group together people coming together or having booked together, within the limit of four people.
A minimum distance of two meters is guaranteed between the chairs occupied by each person, unless a fixed or removable wall provides physical separation. This distance rule does not apply to groups, within the limit of four people, coming together or having booked together. The maximum reception capacity of the establishment is displayed and visible from the public highway when it is accessible from it. Institutional staff wear protective masks, as do people aged eleven and over when traveling within the institution.
