There are no prospects for establishing cooperation in the field of tourism between Kiev and Moscow in the future, the Cabinet of Ministers explained.
The intergovernmental agreement between Russia and Ukraine on cooperation in the field of tourism has expired. This is stated in a statement on the Russian Internet portal of legal information on Wednesday, May 12.
“On May 12, 2021, the Agreement between the Government of the Russian Federation and the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine on cooperation in the field of tourism, signed in Kiev on July 16, 1999, was terminated,” the document says.
Then Kiev and Moscow agreed to strengthen and encourage cooperation in the field of tourism on the basis of equality, as well as international treaties to which both states were parties at that time.
As a reminder, on March 31, the Cabinet of Ministers at a meeting made a decision on the withdrawal of the Ukrainian state. from the agreement with Russia on cooperation in the field of tourism.
The explanatory note to the document on the termination of the agreement states that withdrawal from the agreement is necessary for Ukraine in connection with the termination of actual cooperation with the aggressor country in the field of tourism.
It was also noted that “there are no prospects for establishing such cooperation in the future.”
It was also reported that Ukraine withdrew from the agreement within the framework of the CIS on cooperation in the field of cellular communications, because since the signing of the document, it has not found practical implementation.
