Police checks continued with undiminished intensity yesterday M. Saturday – among other things – to identify persons with crackers and fireworks.
At midnight (05-05-2024) a 49-year-old man was arrested in Agioi Anargyro Square for manufacturing and possession of explosives – incendiary materials.
According to police sources, 2 launchers with 16 firecrackers were found in his possession.
In the same area on Parnithos Street, two 21-year-old people were arrested for “manufacturing and possession of explosives – incendiary materials”” and for the “Law on Addictive Substances and other Provisions”
A check carried out in a car found 6 firecrackers and 2 bottles with flammable liquid to which a firecracker with a fuse had been fitted. In addition, 0.5 grams of Indian cannabis were found in the possession of one, and in the possession of the second, 1 improvised cannabis cigarette.
