Latvian State Police have imposed administrative fines on two Russian citizens who behaved aggressively near the Russian embassy before voting in the Russian presidential “elections.”
As “European Truth” writes about this portal Delphi reported the Latvian police.
The morning before, shortly before 9:00, several people had gathered at the Russian Embassy in Riga with the intention of participating in the “voting” in the elections, while it would last only one day – March 17th.
The police asked for documents from those gathered. Two people present ignored the demand, became aggressive, resisted, fell to the ground and screamed loudly. They were detained and taken to police headquarters.
After checking and issuing an administrative fine, both Russian citizens were released. Police confirmed that they had valid permits to stay in Latvia.
Latvian State Police and State Border Guard warnedthat during the Russian presidential “elections” people who come to the polling station at the Russian Embassy in Riga will be checked.
Previously, the foreign ministers of Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia condemned Russia’s intentions hold presidential “elections” in the occupied territories of Ukraine.
