Denisa Cziglová, a former participant in the amateur culinary competition MasterChef, recently received a cruel diagnosis. After the oncologists told her that her brain tumor had returned and was perhaps even more aggressive than before. Unfortunately, the costs of the demanding treatment are not covered by the insurance company, now the young mother published information on her Instagram that she managed to collect more than the required amount for the procedure.
A serious illness
Passionate cook and mother of a cute little girl Denisa Cziglová is now fighting for her life with insidious brain cancer. The fact that after several months of calm all hell broke loose was reported on Instagram her husband Roman. “Unfortunately, the histology results confirmed what we all feared the most. The tumor in the head transformed from stage 3 to stage 4 Glioblastoma. It is one of the most aggressive tumors and the treatment is very complex and must take place as soon as possible,” stated the devastating news on the social network.
Immediate action was needed, and since Denise’s treatment is very expensive and not covered by insurance, the couple decided to organize a fundraiser. “Unfortunately, we do not have a clearly defined amount that we will need, but we want to be ready to act as quickly as possible,” Roman wrote on his post.
Rescue by collection
During the next few days, Denisa and Roman put up a collection through one of the crowdfunding platforms, in which they begged for contribution in the amount of two million crowns. Fortunately, people were not indifferent to the difficult fate of the talented cook and young mother, and they decided to lend a helping hand.
Denisa now in the hundreds on Instagram reported that she managed to collect much more than the required amount in record time. The allowance for treatment and associated costs now amounts to almost 4.5 million crowns. Fifty-four days remain until the end of the collection, so the amount will surely increase.
