Agents of the FBI (Federal Bureau of Investigation) raided the home of Brianna Suggs, campaign consultant to the mayor of New York, this morningEric Adams, and fundraiser.
Local media reported at noon this Thursday that the intervention It took place during the morning hours on Lincoln Place, in the Crown Heights neighborhood of Brooklyn.. The advisor, who was not arrested, was at the residence.
The federal agency has not made any statements about the intervention.
It is the policy of the members of that office not to confirm or deny the existence of any investigation.
The New York Times reported that Suggs was interviewed by federal officials.
Suggs raised money for Adams during the 2021 campaign, according to the New York Daily News report.
Adams’ office said Suggs is not a City Hall employee. and it has nothing to do with municipal operations. According to the ABC 7 report, the mayor’s campaign spokesperson will be the person in charge of answering questions from members of the press.
That unexpected move may have been the reason why the mayor abruptly returned to the city this morning.
Adams returned to NYC on his way to Washington DC to meet with White House officials and discuss the immigration crisis.
A spokesman for the official simply indicated that he would return to the city to deal with an issue, ABC 7 published.

In a post on his account on the social network X (formerly Twitter) at 7:41 am, The municipal executive shared a video from the plane he was on heading to DC
