Karlheinz Förster is the agent for Chelsea FC’s Timo Werner and talked through his client’s decision to opt for a future in London over one with Bayern Munich.
“Some top European clubs wanted him. FC Bayern were also in for him. But in the end Timo decided to join Chelsea,” said Förster to Sport1 journalist Florian Plettenberg on his Meine Bayern-Woche podcast (as captured by Twitter account @iMiaSanMia).
While Werner opted to sign a deal with Chelsea through 2025, Bayern Munich’s recent hiring of former RB Leipzig boss Julian Nagelsmann could be a cause for a reunion in the future per Förster.
“Julian and Timo appreciate each other. Of course, I don’t know yet what will happen in three or four years. Football is a fast paced business,” said Förster. “You can’t rule anything out, but at the moment, I would clearly say that Timo will stay at Chelsea. He feels comfortable there. A move will not be a topic in the foreseeable future.”

If I could insert a GIF of the (bleep)-eating grin that Davey “Lardass” Hogan had on his face after making the whole town blow chunks in “Stand By Me” right here…I’d do it.
