Agen. SUA caught up by the virus

He had almost been forgotten on Armandie’s side. Since the summer, he had spared the players of President Fonteneau. But the tests carried out on Wednesday morning returned with several positive cases.

A priori, only players (whose number and identity have not been disclosed by the club) were contaminated. But they are, at least, three in number to be affected. Because yesterday morning, the NRL announced the postponement of the meeting to a later date. And given the overloaded schedule of Aviron Bayonnais (still two games late to catch up), this match should not play before the weekends of March 14-15 or March 20-21. The best.

Yesterday, several players therefore briefly went to Armandie to collect things before returning home. Indeed, the club asked them a maximum of precaution. Likewise, the Espoirs team, regularly in contact with the pros, also preferred to postpone their match against Bayonne, scheduled for tomorrow.

As a reminder, the SUA had been affected by the virus at the heart of its preparation. Several players had to be placed in solitary confinement and a friendly match had even been canceled. Then, before the first day of Top 14, two players had tested positive again, but the meeting had been held. Since then, the SUA had passed between the drops. Until this week …
