French Actor Cancels Agen Performance Due to Illness
renowned French actor Pierre Arditi has cancelled his highly anticipated appearance at teh Divers Festival in Agen, France, due to unforeseen health issues. Arditi was slated to perform his one-man show, “Textes Choisis,” this Sunday, December 29th, at the Nouveau Théâtre du Jour (NTJ).
The cancellation leaves a gap in the festival’s schedule, but organizers have swiftly found a replacement. Grégori Baquet, the NTJ’s artistic director, will instead present “Le K,” a captivating production based on the intriguing short stories of Italian author Dino Buzzati.
“We have had very few cancellations so far, many have decided to come and see Grégori Baquet’s play,” explained Victoire Berger-Perrin, co-director of the Nouveau Théâtre du Jour. This demonstrates the resilience and adaptability of the festival’s audience.
Ticket holders who had purchased tickets to see Arditi have three options: a full refund, the possibility to exchange their tickets for another show at the festival, or the option to attend Baquet’s performance of “Le K.” The show will begin at 8:30 p.m. at the NTJ, this sunday, December 29th, as originally scheduled.
While disappointing for those anticipating Arditi’s performance, the festival remains committed to providing a high-quality theatrical experience. The substitution of “le K” offers a unique opportunity to experience a different style of storytelling, showcasing the versatility of the Divers Festival’s programming.
