It’s been well over a year since we got our last glimpse of Age of Empires IV. Since then, it has been pretty buzzing from the developers at Relic Entertainment, but during a fan event this weekend, the game got a new presentation. Here we got to see a bit of one of the campaign parts in the game, as well as more of the civilizations you can play.
The game will be released for PC in the autumn of the year, and will come to Game Pass at launch. You can see a new trailer at the top.

Age of Empires IV will have four campaign sections, all set for different historical events as in previous games. This time around, we got a taste of the Norman campaign, which you can see to the right. Here we follow the conflict between King Harald Godwinson and William I of England, better known as William I the Conqueror. Among other things, the Battle of Hastings from 1066 appears.
At launch, it will be possible to choose between eight different civilizations, including newcomers such as India’s Delhi sultanate and China. The former stands out, among other things, with large war elephants. Relic has focused on making civilizations as different as possible, and mentions, among other things, the Mongolian twist where the player can move entire cities and settle elsewhere.
