Miura went to the Portuguese club on a loan basis from Yokohama FC, a Japanese club. The contract is till June this year. As of 2023, he has the longest career in professional football in the world.
Miura started playing with Brazilian club Atlético Juventus in 1982 and reached professional football in 1986 with Santos.
After returning to Japan in 1990, Miura has played for 12 clubs. The player has also tied the boots for Genoa in Italy, Dinamo Zagreb in Croatia and Sydney FC in Australia. The 53-year-old has been the star of the Yokohama team for the past 15 years.

Miura also debuted in futsal in 2012 at the age of 45. The player played in six matches including that year’s World Cup and scored one goal in Futsal. Miura made his debut for the Japan national team and scored 55 goals in 89 appearances. At the club level, he scored 331 goals in 754 matches. The player is confident that he will continue in the field.
