Marvel is working on a new series about Agatha Harkness, the witch played by Kathryn Hahn which the Scarlet Witch was quick to indulge in WandaVision. Variety knows how to report that.
Hahn is said to have signed a major deal with the studio for multiple films and series in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). This first spin-off will be written and produced by Jac Schaeffer, the lead writer of WandaVision.
The Agatha Harkness project is described as “a dark comedy”, of course perfect for a comedy actress like Hahn. Further details about the series are not yet known, but presumably it will delve further into the history of the ancient witch and her story after the events in WandaVision arrested.
At the end of the series, the Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen) the memory of Harkness, leaving her as sociable and meddlesome neighbor Agnes in the town of Westview previously held hostage by Wanda. That, of course, was her previous cover with which she managed to invade Wanda’s life.
Also in second Doctor Strange?
Hahn is also rumored to have a small role in the blockbuster to be released next year Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. And that sounds quite plausible, since that film more or less directly connects to WandaVision and Olsen also plays a major role in it.
Popular and renowned
The role of Harkness earned Hahn an Emmy nomination, as well as many positive reactions from the fans. It is therefore not surprising that Marvel would like to keep the actress on board the MCU ship, especially now that streaming is becoming increasingly important for parent company Disney and it is intended to produce a lot of content.
