Agatha Christie’s “The Mousetrap” hits Broadway in 2023 – Telemundo New York (47)

NEW YORK — A beloved West End staple is headed to the Big Apple next year.

The mousetrapby acclaimed mystery writer Agatha Christie, opens on Broadway in 2023. The show’s producers have announced plans to bring the long-running production to New York City audiences in the new year.

The classic “whodunnit”, which has inspired countless plays, is considered one of the oldest dramas in the world. After opening in the West End in 1952, production ran for seven decades.

The producers behind the show have not revealed a cast list or opening date, but the Broadway run will be for “a limited engagement only.”

According to the show’s website, the Broadway production will borrow the last remaining prop from the original set: a mantel clock.
