All proceeds and donations from the tickets were donated to help Ukrainian refugees.
“This concert is a testament to the large number of Russians against the war. And not just against the war, but against this damn war,” Oxxxymiron said at the start of the concert.
There were many Russians in the audience of the concert, and slogans against the war and Russian dictator Vladimir Putin were repeated several times.
During the evening, the artists managed to raise the equivalent of about 43,000 euros, reports the online edition of TSN.
Among the visitors of the concert was also the well-known Russian musician Zemfira, who later published a photo on social networks, which shows him together with Grebenshchikov and Oxxxymiron.
Oxxxymiron has previously performed in Russians Against War in Istanbul. The $ 40,000 raised at the Istanbul concert was donated by Oxxxymiron to a Polish organization that helps Ukrainian refugees.
Grebenshchikov has reportedly canceled all the concerts of the group “Akvarium” and basically suspended the operation “until better times”. On Sunday, March 20, the well-known Russian musician performed in a concert in support of Ukraine in Berlin, at the Brandenburg Gate.
A recording of the London concert on YouTube has been published on the channel “Oxxxymiron Family”.
