The 60 or so racing cyclists between the ages of 18 and 30 cover around 900 kilometers within eleven days.

The tour was organized by the Dutch foundation “Terug naar Westerbork” and the German association “Remembering together for a European future”.

Foundation chairman Henk Emmens (70) was happy about the short rest in Dresden: “We not only want to see the terrible places, but also the reconstruction after the war.”

The Dutch driver Marieke Schuitemaker (21): “This is my first time in Dresden – it’s very nice here.” The team visited the Frauenkirche in the afternoon, and the next step is to Potsdam.
