It remains very windy today. A yellow and orange hazardous weather code is in effect in most areas, and the highest red code has been issued in a few areas.

The weather remains unusually warm for January. Maximum temperatures will reach between 16 and 23 degrees.

It will be cloudy from the west. Rainfall is also expected around and after noon in Western Bulgaria, more significant in the evening hours.

Gale and hurricane-force winds will continue to blow in the mountains as well. Their speed in the higher parts will exceed 120 kilometers per hour. It is cloudy, and rain and snow will begin in the massifs to the west in the afternoon.

The temperature at 1200 meters will reach 9-10 degrees, and at 2000 a little above zero. The snow cover is between 10 and 40 centimeters.

On Friday, it will be cloudy and the wind will weaken. Precipitation will gradually cover most of the country and temperatures will start to drop in the afternoon. Rain will briefly change to snow in the high western fields in the evening. During the weekend, it will remain mostly cloudy, and temperatures will hardly exceed 10 degrees. In many places there will be precipitation mainly from rain, and in the higher parts of Western Bulgaria and the mountains it will also snow. During the first days of the new week, it will remain mostly cloudy with rain and snow.
