Uki ex NOAH is back voicing about illegal music after his statement caused a stir in the media world.
Through Instagram Stories, Uki re-shared uploads from Muhammad Abduh Tuasikal. The contents of the upload mention the legal issue of playing musical instruments.
“The law of playing musical instruments. Shaykh al-Islam ibn Taimiyah rahimahumullah said, ‘None of the four scholars of the madhhab differed on the prohibition of musical instruments’ (Majmu’ah Al Fatawa, 11: 576-577),” the content of Uki’s uploads.
Through the upload, Uki seemed to want to emphasize that music is indeed forbidden in Islam.
Previously, Uki’s statement in the video that discussed the problem of music is the opener of immorality in the spotlight of netizens to several Indonesian artists.
Several ustaz also gave their responses about Uki’s statement.
“There are some scholars who call this music haram. Most say this music depends on whether it can bring our faith up or not down. Examples of prayer music make us remember Allah. It depends on the person, if all the poems in the song, even Even a love song, if we bring the poem to God, it will be beautiful,” said Ustaz Zacky Mirza.
“There are three forbidden type of music, first the sound of your spoon and fork when eating while your neighbors are hungry. That’s illegal. The second is maybe they are wrong in spelling.
