According to police, a 27-year-old woman and a 45-year-old man were injured in an attack in downtown Munich. According to the police, the man succumbed to his injuries in a clinic, officials said on Thursday evening. First, the “Bild” newspaper reported on the man’s death.
According to initial investigations, the woman and man are neighbors. Both are said to live in a house on Sendlinger Strasse. At the woman’s apartment door, there is said to have been a dispute between the two – according to the police, a knife was also involved, “with which the 27-year-old cut his hand and with which the 45-year-old had several puncture wounds in the area of the upper body suffered”.

A little later, several emergency calls were received by the police. The woman was bleeding and ran out of the house onto the street with a knife in her hand.
According to reports from “Bild”, there were several bloodstains on the asphalt of Sendlinger Straße. The police, heavily armed, went to the city center for a large-scale operation, according to their own statements with around 50 people.
The seriously injured man was then found in the area of the stairwell. The pedestrian zone was temporarily cordoned off around the scene. The police took over the investigation.
According to the police, it is still unclear exactly how the injuries occurred and what the exact background to the argument was. According to the current state of knowledge, there were no other parties involved in the incident.
Crime in Munich: Violence in the city center has recently increased
In the past few weeks, there have been several bloody clashes in downtown Munich: On Sunday the week before last, a man was stabbed at Stachus in the early morning, several people were able to escape – the police are still looking for the perpetrators.
A few days earlier, on Thursday (April 7), there had already been a stabbing in Maximilianstrasse.
Three men were slightly and one seriously injured, three suspects have been in custody since then.
