Eden Hazard will again miss the El Clasico match this weekend. The Real Madrid winger was not included against Barcelona.
El Clasico volume two this season was held this weekend. Real Madrid vs Barcelona is presented at Estadio Alfredo Di Stefano, Monday (11/4/2021) in the morning WIB.
Ahead of that match, Madrid has released a line-up of players who will be brought against their eternal enemies. There is no Hazard’s name in Zinedine Zidane’s list of players.
Hazard’s absence is the answer to the puzzle of his condition in the past week. Because, the 30-year-old player was previously questioned whether he could appear or not, after recovering from injury.
Previously, Hazard had a muscle injury. This made him miss two weeks, including missing an international match with the Belgian national team.
Early last week, Hazard began training with the squad. However, he still wasn’t brought into the match against Liverpool in the Champions League quarter-finals.
Now, Zidane seems to have kept Hazard during El Clasico. Instead, Los Blancos only brought Karim Benzema, Marco Asensio, Lucas Vazquez, Vinicius Junior, Mariano Diaz, and Rodrygo as front players.
Hazard’s absence in El Clasico this weekend, made him not even tasted even though the fierce match against Barcelona. Since being bought from Chelsea in the summer of 2019, Hazard has missed three previous El Clasico matches.
The cause of Hazard’s frequent absence in El Clasico, is none other than the injury problem. That is why he has only made 36 appearances so far – including 14 this season.
The Barcelona camp itself is ready to fight by bringing in the best players such as Lionel Messi and Antoine Griezmann. The Blaugrana are still unable to play the injured Sergi Roberto, Philippe Coutinho and Ansu Fati.
The El Clasico match will be important for both teams in the race for the Spanish League title. Because, Barcelona is still in second place in the Spanish League standings with 65 points, and Real Madrid is in third place with 63 points. Both are below Atletico Madrid, who are in first place with 66 points.
