Head of BPS Margo Yuwono said the value of exports in October 2021 rose both monthly and annually. Month to month it reached US$ 22.03 billion, up 6.89% month to month in September 2021.
“Compared to exports in October 2020 or year on year, our exports grew quite high, namely 53.35%. Likewise, if we disaggregated oil and gas compared to October 2020, it increased 66.84% while non-oil and gas was 52.75%,” said Margo at the conference. press, Monday (15/11/2021).
Meanwhile, imports in October 2021 reached US$ 16.29 billion. Up 0.36% compared to September 2021.
“The import value of US$ 16.29 billion in October compared to October 2020 grew by 51.06%,” he said.
In this way, the trade balance in October this year was again in a surplus. This is because exports are greater than imports. The surplus this month reached US$ 5.74 billion.
