Afundación’s Classical Music Season: Featuring Galician Symphony Orchestra and Special Performances

Afundación, the Social Project of ABANCA, begins its Classical Music Season organized in collaboration with the Vigo Philharmonic Society that will run until December at the Afundación Theater in Vigo. The Galician Symphony Orchestra will continue the season on October 26 with a concert with works by F. Chopin with Iván Martín as conductor and soloist. This recital is part of “We remain in the box, we remain classical”, an initiative of the Afundación so that students can enjoy classical music for free.

The Classical Music Subscription Season is included in the Foundation’s solidarity program “Culture for Food”, through which people who visit the activities of ABANCA’s Social Work can donate non-perishable food as a solidarity entry in the enabled containers. to that effect. This solidarity initiative is developed in cooperation with FESBAL (Spanish Federation of Food Banks) and thanks to it we collaborate with local food banks in the work they carry out.

THE CONCERT PROGRAMMING

All recitals included in the Classical Music Season will take place at the Teatro Afundación de Vigo (Policarpo Sanz, 13) at 8:00 p.m.

On November 22, the Real Filharmonía de Galicia will return with the absolute premiere of the work Shadowy by Hugo Gómez-Chao, under the direction of Baldur Brönnimann.

Finally, the Galician Symphony Orchestra will put the finishing touch to the season on December 21 in a recital featuring mezzo-soprano Lorena Valero under the baton of Cristóbal Soler.
