Chairman of Volunteer Jokowi Mania (JoMan) Immanuel Ebenezer or Noel visited the NasDem Tower, Central Jakarta to have a discussion with the Vice Chairman of the NasDem Party, Ahmad Ali. Noel said that the meeting did not discuss the presidential and vice presidential candidates in 2024.
“Many things (discussed), about reconciliation, which is clearly not talking about 2024, talking about nationality, nothing more than that. Nothing, nothing like that (discussion supporting Anes Baswedan). There was not the slightest discussion about supports and the presidential candidates,” Noel told reporters at the NasDem Tower, Central Jakarta, Tuesday (14/2/2023).
After this meeting, Noel said he would announce which presidential candidate (candidate) JoMan would support, tomorrow. Initially, he explained 3 criteria, namely a female figure, then a figure with a military background, and a figure of a former chancellor.
“Tomorrow we will hold a press conference, and we will determine our political direction in 2024 tomorrow. At 1 o’clock at DPP Jokowi mania. Panglima Polim 7, number 140. Criteria, first is a female figure, second is military background, third is a former chancellor,” he said.
When asked further about who the person was referring to, he mentioned 3 names that had so far appeared in survey institutions namely Puan Maharani, Anies Baswedan, and Prabowo Subianto. Noel said he would choose one of the three figures to support.
“Yes, what is clear is that among the surveys. There is Ms. Puan, there is Mas Anies. There is Pak Prabowo. Those are the nation’s cadres, right? These are all quality people. But among all of them I definitely choose one,” he said.
Previously, Noel visited the NasDem Tower, Central Jakarta. Noel met with Deputy Chairman of the NasDem Party, Ahmad Ali.
“Meet the Waketum (NasDem) Ahmad Ali. I don’t know (what I’m talking about). I’m surprised he (Noel) is also there,” said the chairman of the DPP NasDem Party Willy Aditya to reporters at the NasDem Tower, Central Jakarta (14/2).
Willy said he did not know what would be discussed in this meeting. He also did not know whether the discussion was related to supporting Anies Baswedan.
“There has been no talk so far (of supporting Anies Baswedan),” said Willy.
Even so, whatever Noel’s choice will be, Willy will still respect him as a friend. Because, said Willy, Noel is his old friend.
“But whatever choice (Noel) has, one thing I have to respect as a friend. Yes, of course I’m grateful that Noel finally, this is not just, for Noel it’s not just a matter of support,” said Willy.
“Yes, Noel and I are old friends. Both 98 activists are both struggling,” he added.
