After Van Dijk, Maguire became a victim of Pickford’s kung fu kick

Jordan Pickford performs dangerous stunts by kicking the captain in the stomach Manchester United, Harry Maguire. The Everton goalkeeper has not ‘given up’ after injuring him Virgil van Dijk.

This is not the first time Pickford has made a reckless move that could potentially harm an opponent. Certainly it hasn’t gone out of our minds in an almost similar situation, Pickford injured Virgil van Dijk when Everton met Liverpool.

The England goalkeeper lunged at Van Dijk with his leg cutting through Van Dijk’s knee. Pickford also escaped punishment for Van Dijk first offside.

As a result of this attack Van Dijk suffered an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury. He is now in danger of being absent for eight months.

Pickford’s poor performance in these games seems to have made Everton’s manager Carlo Ancelotti’s trust in him slowly start to wear off. Don Carlo has confirmed that he will rotate Pickford with Robin Olsen who was brought in from AS Roma this summer
